Back to topIn recent years, technology has increased the ability of banks to gather, analyze, and distribute consumer information. At Integra Bank N.A. and its Subsidiaries (IBNK), we understand and appreciate that our website visitors are concerned about their privacy and the confidentiality and security of information we may obtain about them online. Banks are entrusted to protect consumer information. On the other hand, banks need to have and use information in order to manage risk, as well as to deliver products and services to consumers. In an effort to balance consumers' privacy expectations and the need to use information to conduct our business, Integra has developed the set of Online Consumer Privacy Principles for our banks set forth below.
ONLINE CONSUMER PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
We understand and respect consumers' expectations of privacy for the sensitive information they have entrusted to us. We maintain policies designed to assure the appropriate use of information about consumers.
We collect, retain, and use information about consumers where we reasonably believe that it is helpful to conduct our business, to assess and manage risk, to comply with law and regulation, and to provide products, services, and other opportunities to consumers.
We take steps designed to assure that consumer information is current, accurate, and complete in accordance with commercial standards. If you ever find that our records are incomplete, inaccurate or not current, please call the telephone number on your account statement. We will investigate and correct inaccuracies in a timely manner.
Access to information about consumers is restricted to individuals using it in the legitimate conduct of our business. We emphasize the importance of confidentiality and privacy through training, operating procedures and our policies on ethics.
We maintain security standards and procedures designed to prevent unauthorized access to consumer information. We test and update our technology to provide protection to information about consumers.
We share information regarding customers among our banking divisions and affiliated companies only in accordance with strict confidentiality policies and with applicable law. We do not reveal specific information about our customers' accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated parties for their independent use, unless (1) our customer has requested it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by our customer; (3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; or (4) disclosure is lawfully permitted or required; for example, in connection with litigation, fraud investigation, or potential business purchases and sales.
At times it is necessary to provide personally identifiable information about our customers to a third party, such as a vendor or service company that we hire to provide support or services for one or more of our products. These vendors and service companies agree to safeguard our confidential customer information and they must abide by applicable law.
As we move forward in developing new products and services in this era of technological change, we will continue to maintain our dedication to our Privacy Principles. We will monitor and update these Privacy Principles from time to time. The most recent version of our privacy principles, along with our "Online Consumer Security Principles", may be found here.
Questions and concerns about our Privacy Principles may be directed to Integra Bank Security Department at 800-467-1928, by writing to our Security Department at P.O. Box 868, Evansville, Indiana 47705-0868, or emailing us at mwoehler@integrabank.com.
Back to topIntegra Bank N.A. and its Subsidiaries (IBNK) knows that security is the cornerstone of providing online service to our customers. Therefore, Integra has instituted necessary privacy and security principles. Each of the safety measures listed below has been implemented to ensure your privacy, and to protect your personal financial information from unauthorized access.
ONLINE CONSUMER SECURITY PRINCIPLES
To obtain any financial services from the Integra websites, you must use your personal access codes, specifically, a User ID and a Password. No one can access the website to find out about your personal financial dealings with Integra unless they have both your User ID and Password. Treat both your User ID and Password with the same degree of care and secrecy as you treat your ATM security code (PIN) and your other sensitive financial data.
Integra's websites have a timeout feature in those areas of the websites requiring account login to access your financial information. This feature automatically logs you out of your financial services session after an extended period of inactivity on our site. Because someone else might obtain physical access to your system, it is better for privacy reasons for you to explicitly log off the financial services session after you finish accessing your personal financial information, rather than waiting for the timeout feature to occur.
Firewalls and activity logs are additional mechanisms that Integra uses to protect your privacy. Technically, firewalls analyze the source and destination addresses and the traffic type to ensure that only authorized users have access to our systems. We also review activity logs to find anything that appears out of the ordinary. We look at specific individual information only to investigate activities that appear suspicious and to protect our systems and your information.
The way the encryption process works is that first you send us a secure message from your browser. We respond by sending you a certificate that contains our "key" to lock and unlock the coded messages between us. Your browser uses this key so that the "conversations" between your browser and our server are coded in such a way that we both can encrypt and decode the conversations, preventing others from understanding them. Whenever possible, Integra uses the strongest browser encryption technology available. Because this encryption technology is so strong, the U.S. government will generally not permit the export of browsers supporting this technology. Therefore, some of Integra's online financial services may not be available outside of the United States and Canada.
A "cookie" is a small text file placed on your system by the Web server. A cookie does not harm your system. Cookies can only be read by the server that sent the cookie to your browser, and they cannot be used to retrieve any information from the computer that has not been given directly by the client to the server. The primary use of cookies is to simplify access to areas of the website that require passwords and logon IDs and to personalize the website to your own preferences. To provide better services and a more effective website, we may use "cookies" as part of our interaction with your browser. You have the option of determining if and how a cookie will be accepted by configuring preferences on your own browser. If you decide to disallow cookies, certain areas of the website will not work as well or may not be accessible.
E-mail transmitted across the Internet is normally not encrypted and may be intercepted by third parties. You should therefore avoid sending any confidential or private information in e-mails to Integra. Likewise, we will not include confidential information in any e-mailed response to you. Integra and/or third party vendors retains the content of your e-mail and our replies to ensure proper responses to your questions and requests and to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Integra and/or our third party vendors utilizes the most up-to-date technology to protect our internal systems and your personal financial information from computer viruses.
