Step 2

Visit any Integra banking center or call us at 1-800-467-1928 and we'll make it easy for you to open a new account.

Information you will need to open your new account:

  • Your old bank account information (such as a copy of our monthly statement)
  • Details of any existing automatic payments
  • Details of any existing direct deposits
  • A valid driver's license and a secondary form of identification
  • An opening deposit of $25 or more

Step 3

Stop using your old account immediately. Make sure you leave sufficient funds to cover any outstanding checks (usually for 10 business days) or automatic payments that may be charged to your account. Bring us your unused checks, deposit slips, and ATM or debit cards from your old account. We will give you a credit of up to $25 for these items, which can be used toward the purchase of new personalized Integra checks. In addition, when you bring us your old checks, we'll be glad to shred them for you at no cost.

Step 4

Switch all of your direct deposits and automatic payments. Download and fill out a Direct Deposit Form and forward it to your employer (or any company you do business with that makes direct deposits into your account.) Be sure to include a voided check or deposit slip from your new Integra Bank account.

The same should be done using the Automatic Payment Withdrawal form to notify companies that your automatic payment withdrawals or payments will now come from your Integra Bank account. Be sure to include a voided check or deposit slip from your new Integra Bank account.

If you would like to use Integra's free BankAnytime Online Bill Paying, sign up for BankAnytime and set up your payees. Then you can cancel bill paying at your old bank.

Step 5

Close your old account and enjoy your new one. Once you have cleared all outstanding checks from your old account and transferred all automatic payments to your new account, you can officially close your old account. Simply complete the Account Closure Form and mail it to your old bank to close your account. If you have a remaining balance after your outstanding checks have cleared, they will send you a check.
